Our Story

tel'e.sis, n. Intelligent direction of natural and social forces to a desired end; Progress intelligently planned and directed (Webster, 1961).

Our goal at WasteSite.com is to provide the information needed to effectively manage project waste. Our parent company, Intelesis Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1995 in Seattle, WA in response to an identified gap in information services available to people in the construction, demolition and environmental remediation industries. Basically - our founder was frustrated with the lack of information and services available to cost effectively manage project waste.

This problem is reflected in the following nationwide trend:

  1. Managers are increasingly struggling with complex waste management issues; the sheer volume of regulations, facility restrictions and liability concerns can truly be overwhelming. Managers strive to seek a solution to their waste management problems; but often, the most economically smart or environmentally responsible one is not found in time. Subsequently, project wastes are typically and often unnecessarily land filled at high cost; recycling advantages (both economical and environmental) go unrealized, and businesses lose a competitive edge.

  2. In addition, environmental cleanup projects often require intensive facility research to evaluate the feasibility of various waste management or remediation methods. Thousands of dollars can easily be spent performing research on one small project; and often, in spite of earnest efforts, costly errors can occur.

Our goal is to solve these problems through WasteSite.com, a fast, effective, and even fun way, to successfully manage waste.
