We are currently hiring for the following positions:
 

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Description: Direct the strategy, planning and implementation of all sales and marketing activities including corporate positioning, public relations, print, media and web advertising, direct marketing, and sales support. A key element of this position is in understanding our specific market segments and developing the appropriate marketing strategies to lock up these channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement a product marketing plan.
  • Develop a product roadmap in conjunction with the Operations, Data Collection and Engineering teams.
  • Define product feature sets, set product pricing and product differentiation.
  • Create product collateral, and own product branding and trade marking.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement WasteSite.com’s marketing strategy.
  • Define and implement overall PR strategy, including press releases, press and analyst relationships, magazine article placement, etc.
  • Own WasteSite.com’s trade show presence.
  • Perform competitive analysis in support of Sales and Engineering activities.
  • Build the sales and marketing department from scratch and manage sales and marketing personnel.
  • Develop schedules and budgets for the Sales and Marketing team.
Job Qualifications/Experience

  • 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferable for a technology company (Internet or telecom).
  • Knowledge of and experience in building sales teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and graphics programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Database Administrator

Description: Provide database management support for our data collection and customer care groups. An excellent understanding of SQL programming and database management techniques is required. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with some direction from the remotely located applications development team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop programs and write scripts in support of the data collection and customer care groups’ data analysis requirements.
  • Install, upgrade and configure all database software and utilities.
  • Select appropriate database backup and recovery software and ensure scheduled backups are completed.
  • Monitor database performance and make system-tuning adjustments as required.
  • Provide on-going consultation to the applications developers on database relate issues.
  • Provide on-call support regarding production related database problems.
Job Qualifications/Experience

  • 3 years of SQL programming and data base management experience.
  • Working knowledge of ODBC.
  • Strong knowledge and skills to configure and maintain network connections as it relates databases.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in database tuning.
  • Monitoring and security management techniques.
  • Good oral communications skills to conduct interviews with users and relate technical issues to non-technical people.

Sales Representatives

Responsibilities include: direct sales to customers; assisting in the development of sales and marketing strategies; targeting and calling on prospects; working with existing customers; identifying user needs; and, maintaining and strengthening our customer base. Candidates must have previous sales experience, be self-motivated, have outstanding communications skills, be computer and Internet savvy; and thrive in a startup environment. Experience in construction, demolition or environmental remediation is a plus. Salary, bonuses and equity are commensurate with experience.


Information Assistant

Assist in the research and development of our key customer and facility databases. Candidates must have strong Excel skills, have a working knowledge of Internet use, be detail-oriented and have a natural thirst for data collection and analysis. Responsibilities include: identifying new sources of data, extracting and massaging information, and using Excel and ODBC to query our databases to improve data quality. Candidates must be self-motivated, have outstanding communications skills, be computer and Internet savvy; and thrive in a startup environment. Experience in construction, demolition or environmental remediation is a plus. Salary, bonuses and equity are commensurate with experience.
