Our company is built upon the philosophy that honesty, integrity, quality, and customer service are of paramount importance. We firmly believe that a relationship founded on trust is not only good manners, it's also good business; and our Privacy Policy reflects this philosophy. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

This privacy statement describes the information we collect through the WasteSite website and what we do with that information. In this way, you can make educated decisions about the way information about you and your use of the site is collected, stored and used.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Below you will find information on several topics covered in this page. Simply use your scroll bar or press on the link shown to review the information.

Our Golden Rule

WasteSite will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to others unless we have your specific permission to do so or are required by law.

How is WasteSite structured for privacy?

WasteSite is divided into two basic parts: the Non-Member area and the Member area. The Member area restricts access to those people who have purchased a subscription and have a user name and password. The Non-Member area is unrestricted; anyone can view these pages using an internet browser.

We've structured the site so you can visit any of the pages in the Non-Member area without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information unless you choose to, such as when you send us an email message. Other than that, information tracked on Non-Member pages is limited to general website usage statistics.

What information is collected and how is it used?

When you choose to become a Member to WasteSite and subscribe to the site, we will ask you to provide standard information necessary to support billing and customer care activities, such as your name, company's name, address, email address and telephone number, collectively called "Registration Information". This information is stored on-site and is treated confidentially; its use is restricted to internal billing and customer care operations.

Once you begin to use the site, information is collected for a variety of reasons. Generally speaking, we use the information to provide you high quality service and support and a smooth, efficient and reliable user experience. For example:

  • Information entered into search screens is collected to allow us to find and list facilities relative to your project site location, to generate session reports for your use, and to support billing and customer care.
  • We keep track of start and stop times, so you can track your sessions and searches.
  • As the site is used and facilities are found, we keep track of usage statistics to understand what types of information are most needed. In this way, we can better focus our data collection efforts to better meet your needs.
  • We use the information to allow us to understand and respond to your queries, to troubleshoot problems with our server, and help administer the Site or resolve disputes.
  • Statistical information is collected to inform facilities, to let them know that people have sought to learn about the services they provide through our Site as well as encourage them to provide better information.
  • Is information shared with third parties?

WasteSite will not give, sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to others unless we have your specific permission to do so or are required by law.

Non-personally identifiable information may be shared in aggregate form with third parties without restriction. For example: "20% of our Subscribers are companies located in Washington state".

We reserve the right to disclose any personal information that is necessary, in our discretion, to aid in enforcement operations and to report any illegal activity to law enforcement authorities. We also reserve the right to release personal information concerning a User we believe is in violation of their Terms of Service Agreement, even without a subpoena, warrant, or other court order.

In the event that another company acquires WasteSite or substantially all of its assets, as part of such transaction, information collected on this Site, including Registration Information, may be transferred to the acquiring company.

    Does WasteSite use "cookies?"

Yes. Cookies are small text files that your Web browser sends back to our server each time the browser requests a page from the server. The main purpose of cookies is to identify individual users and prepare customized web pages for them. We use cookies to facilitate your movement through the Site - they allow us to keep track of which search results to send to whom. They also allow us to authenticate a User's access to restricted areas on our Site. We do not use cookies to store any personal identification information.

    Can I disable "cookies?"

No. Without cookies, we would not be able to identify your username and password and you would be unable to login to the site.

    How is correspondence handled?

If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, we may retain this information for follow-up or marketing purposes. In the event the information is used for marketing purposes, we will not disclose any of your personal identification information in doing so, unless you specifically give us permission first. For example, if you send us a letter telling us how helpful the Site is to you, we may use the comment or story in our marketing materials; however, we won't use your name unless and until we obtain your permission.

To continuously update and improve our products and services to better meet your needs, we may from time to time contact our Members via phone, regular mail or email to conduct customer surveys. As the site content grows, we may also send our Members information about our company and any new products or services that we offer.

Occasionally, we will need to bring the site down for service. In this event, or in the event the site is experiencing any functional problems that we feel may inconvenience you, we may also send our Members a user notification through email.

What about links to other websites?

Please be aware that WasteSite contains links to other websites that we do not control. Those sites are responsible for their own practices, which may differ from our own.

How do I discontinue receiving mailings?

If at any time decide you would like to discontinue receiving information or promotional materials from us, all you need to do is contact us at Customer Care via email or phone to let us know your wishes.

What should I do if my password is lost or stolen?

In the event you password is lost or stolen, please contact us at Customer Care and request to have your password replaced.

    Changes to this Privacy Statement

In the future, WasteSite will provide additional services to its Members. As these services come online, this Privacy Statement may be updated. We do not, however, undertake any obligation to notify our Members of such changes. This Statement should be reviewed from time to time for additions and revisions.

    Your Consent

By using WasteSite, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Statement.

    How do I contact WasteSite?

We welcome your feedback! If you have any questions or comments about our Privacy Statement, please contact us at Customer Care.
